Hi guys, Neil Waterhouse. This week’s video, shows how to find a buyer’s email address on eBay. Yes, eBay has again, made it hard to find the email addresses of your buyers. So the old way, no longer works. However, we found a solution. A few weeks ago, you may have received this email from eBay, to cut a long story short, now when you’re looking at eBay to see your buyer’s email addresses, they now look something like this. But there is a solution. Here is how to find buyer’s email addresses on eBay.
How to find buyer’s email addresses on eBay
Go to my eBay, click on selling sold. Then orders. Then all orders. Then click the little down arrow next to any of your orders. Choose print postage labels or invoices. Then click on edit, address and label invoice template.
Check the box next to add buyer email address to invoice
Now check the box next to add buyer email address to invoice. Now scroll to the bottom, and click on the preview button, and bingo, you can now see your eBay buyer’s email address. I’ve obviously blurred out a lot of this buyer’s email address for obvious reasons. That’s all for this week. I hope this video helped you with how to find buyer’s email addresses on eBay. Yes you can by using eBay file exchange and by selecting sold items in a report.
This gives the last 90 days of all customer details, including email.

I thanked you for being able to get buyers email addresses which was great for me by using the edit invoice method however looks like ebay have stopped this now …I have tried your other methods on YouTube but alas they have been taken down aswell

Since March 25 this method does not work anymore. They changed the way to print the invoice and the packing list.

Hi Bob, yes, at the moment there is no way of getting the email addresses.
If we figure out another way, I will shoot another video.
If you already had the URL to the old “print invoice” page bookmarked, and you scraped the order number and transaction number from the URL to print ebay postage, you COULD still get the buyer’s email. I regularly did this because I needed a real email for international orders.
But as of recently (within the last week or two), ebay now redirects the old print invoice page to seller hub, so this way of getting the email has been blocked.

do you currently know of any way to get customer’s email?
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to get eBay customers’ email addresses.
Here is a method that works. You can collect their phone numbers and then send them a sms text using shopify or any other platform. This can lead to another sale from your Shopify store outside of ebay and can be like building a sms list. Only issues would be about consent to text but i believe this was agreed upon when they purchase your item on ebay. You can also include a tracking status update when item has been delivered. This can be great customer service which then builds trust as well.
