How To Sell More On eBay – Proven Products – HIDDEN Information!

I’m doing a series of quick videos about how to sell more on eBay. This week’s quick video,⁣I’ll show you exactly what is a proven product,⁣and I’ll show you how to see the information ⁣that eBay keeps hidden. If anybody knows this channel,⁣my name’s Neil Waterhouse and I’ve been selling on⁣ eBay for over 25 years. I’m the author of Million⁣Dollar eBay Business from Home and create⁣ a of Dropship Formula.

So everybody wants to find⁣ the Golden Egg product to sell on eBay, the small, cheap lightweight product that you can buy for say $5 and sell on eBay for say, $50 and it sells a thousand times ⁣a month, and you can ship it with free shipping and⁣it’s got no competitors. Now, amazingly, a lot of people spend a ton of time researching for this Gold Egg, but here’s the reality.

Even if you do manage to ⁣find this elusive gold egg that sells like hot⁣ cakes with no competition how long will it be before competitors find the ⁣product and simply copy it? Items that hit the market and go viral like say a fidget spinner very quickly appear on the ⁣radar for product researchers.

But here’s the big thing. If your goal is to build⁣an automated online business that runs and grows by itself you must build a business that runs and grows by itself without you. And you do this by using automation ⁣software wherever possible at low-cost overseas virtual ⁣assistants for the other tasks. If you don’t automate the business you’re just building yourself a job.

If you’re an amazing product researcher and you do manage to ⁣find the elusive gold egg how long will it take you⁣ to find the second Gold Egg and a third, fourth, et cetera? I’ve been selling online⁣for over 25 years, and despite selling literally ⁣millions of dollars of items myself and my team have⁣never found the golden egg. However, what we do find literally ⁣every day is proven items as the old saying goes,⁣many streams make a river.

Personally, I prefer to have ⁣many products listed that sell over and over than just a few golden eggs. So what is a proven item for us? We want to see proof that an ⁣item has a proven demand. We want to see a proven ⁣sales history on eBay. Now, the only indication of⁣ how well an item will sell in the future that we use is ⁣from its past sales history.

An eBay can show the⁣ dates, time, and quantity items have sold, as I’ll⁣ show you just before I show you that. For dropship items to⁣ meet the criteria to be a proven dropship item, the⁣ item must have sold twice or more in the last 30 days by⁣a proven dropship seller and at a profit. For import products, the ⁣product must have sold a minimum of 45 times in the last ⁣90 days, and at a profit or 15 times a month for three ⁣months, same thing, 45 times.

Let me show you for this example. I’ve clicked on a tool sharpener. As per the screenshot notice,⁣this item has sold 14 times. This is the exact date and time as 14 have sold,⁣known as item purchase history. Use the U R L on the Screen, but replace the 12 Xs with a 12-digit eBay item number. Every item on eBay has a 12-digit item number, for example, here’s the same U R L but I’ve replaced the Xs⁣with an eBay item number.

Now, the eBay item number⁣ for any eBay listing is shown within the U R L at the top of your browser when ⁣looking at any item on eBay. And the item number is ⁣also approximately a third of the way down the eBay ⁣listing on the right hand side. Now you’ll be able to see ⁣the sales purchase history for the item that you’re researching.

Note though that eBay will only show in the item purchase ⁣history the last 90 days. So the item may say it’s⁣sold a hundred times but the item purchase history ⁣may only show, say 20 sold. This is because the item⁣has sold a hundred times since it was listed but only sold 20 times⁣in the last 90 days. The big advantage of using proven items like this is twofold with proven result.

There’s no guessing, but⁣instead of strict criteria for virtual assistants⁣to follow personally I’ll always take an accurate measurement over a thousand expert opinions. The second reason I like proven items is it’s a duplicatable formula. So you can have your low-cost ⁣overseas virtual assistants from a dollar per hour doing all your⁣ product research for you.
