  1. Hi Neil,

Commenting from Australia……with the recent warning by Ebay Inc – that it may ‘block’ Australian Ebay Buyers, from purchasing internationally, as a result fo the Government pending application of GST on online purchases :::

::: Do you think Neil, this potential move by Ebay, may, in-fact, reduce competition, and increase sales, for those Ebay Sellers who reside directly within Australia ?

We did try to email this request directly to your website’s email address – but received no reply!

Hopefully this ‘Comment’ – request finds you – your thoughts/reply would be appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    Lucy

  2. Hi Neil,

I am also new to E-bay but I have done a bit of selling in Gum tree. With the latter Buyers would come over to pick items I have sold. But with ebay I think I need to post them out isn’t it. My problem is how to factor in postage when selling items on ebay. Presently I am selling used items I have at home thru Gum Tree. I would like to start doing the same with ebay. But what happens if I sell a big item like roof racks or used text book and how do you post it out. I hope I am making some sense here.

    1. Hi Charlie,

      Welcome to eBay!

EBay has a built-in shipping calculator which calculates and shows the shipping costs to your customer automatically. All you need to do is when you list the item on eBay, enter the weight and dimensions of the item and eBay will do the rest.

EBay knows your postcode and the buyer’s postcode so when any eBay user looks at your item, they will see the cost of shipping based on their postcode.

      It’s all automatic.

  3. Neil. I found this 6 minute video very inspirational. I will most definitely be attending your next Melbourne seminar.
