Why do I like eBay over other businesses?

The other day I heard on the radio e-commerce is up another 15% and retail is again flat. Is e-commerce here to stay?  Will traditional bricks and mortar shops find a way to fight back? Personally I will not be buying shares in bricks and mortar stores. More items are now sold online than in traditional bricks and mortar stores and things are only ramping up. It took only 10 years for e-commerce to overtake traditional bricks and mortar sales… gulp You can see this in person by walking down nearly any high street around the world... Continue Reading

ebay Fees Illustrator

eBay fees vary in different countries however they are all relatively similar.  For the examples below I have used the ebay fees from eBay USA and PayPal USA. eBay charges a listing fee (also called an insertion fee) and a FVF (final value fee). Often eBay has promotions where you can list items for free but you still have to pay the FVF (final value fee). Currently eBay is allowing you to do 50 listings per month with no insertion fees. If you do more than 50 listings in a month, you will be... Continue Reading

eBay has different fees for different countries and I have documented the fees below for Canada, USA, UK and Australia.  The fees below are for selling one car on ebay. If you are a dealer or sell a lot of cars, eBay can offer you lower rates. In regards to the fees eBay charges, many people find eBay fees expensive; however always take into account the size of the audience.  The price of any advertising is always based on 2 factors. The size of the audience The quality of the audience i.e. is what you are selling... Continue Reading

Garage sale

A garage sale or a yard sale can be a great way to not only clear out clutter from your house, but also make a few dollars in the process. If you are going to have a garage sale however, you should make the proper preparations and do all that you can to make it customer friendly. Depending on where you live, you should check to see if you are required to purchase or apply for a permit. Many areas do not require this, but if your town does, not getting a permit for your sale could get you shut down or fined. More than likely, you will need to choose... Continue Reading

How to find what’s a hot seller on eBay

Melancholy personality types very often love research (you know the types, they are the ones with their filing perfectly in order and the perfectly organised desk) and on the other end there is the...
